Once upon a time, I collaborated with my sister and her friend on a podcast giving commentary on current events. Each show ended with a “Check It Out” section that highlighted different forms of media that each of us suggested our audience take a listen to, watch... check out. I wanted to close with an extension of that segment notating all of the books, songs, films, and television shows mentioned in this book. Partly to better flesh out some of the atmosphere of some of the stories, partly to acknowledge the artists that have fleshed out the background of my life.
